Colleges

Let's talk about colleges. Here are a few questions I was asked to answer about where I wanted to go for school and in what Major. Of course I already know my major I just needed to find out where I would study it at. My major is Psychology because my goal is to become a Psychiatrist like I stated in a previous post. Well here we go...

I. 1.What search engines did you use? 2.What Institution do you match up with? 3What are your options?

A few search engines that I used were...

II. College board, which can be found at http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/index.jsp The institution that I "stacked up" with best and found favorable was Kutztown U. of Pa.(http://www.kutztown.edu/) This is actually one of my top choice schools after I finish my two-year courses at CCP.

III. College net which can be found at http://cnsearch.collegenet.com/cgi-bin/CN/index the top institution I found was Cheyney University(http://www.cheyney.edu/), even though it's not my top choice it's not a college I would mind attending.

IV. College Search Portal which can be found at http://www.anycollege.com/feature.cfm My number one institution was West Chester university(http://www.wcupa.edu/). This was actually one of the school I applied and got accepted to, this is a great school and would be a good choice for my major.

V. My plan for college is to attend Two-Year courses at Community College of Philadelphia then transfer to a better institution for my major, given that my financial status is in order. I will start applying for financial aid, Scholarships, etc. sometime before or during my second year at CCP. The reason I want to do this is so that I have the chance to bring up my GPA so that I have a better chance of getting a scholarship or grant.
