Tell me about yourself:
I am Karon Davis-Coleman, I am outgoing, interactive and I believe that if given the chance I could be a great asset to the company because of my unique and original social skills.

Are you applying for other jobs?

I am in case I am not hired here, but I assure you this is my first choice.

Are you a team player?

I am a good team player because I'm not afraid to take initiative if necessary. I am also a good follower and try to work as swift and efficiently as possible so that I may assist another team member if necessary.

What's your greatest strength?

I believe my greatest strength is the ability to strengthen my weaknesses, in other words it's the fact that I know I'm not perfect but I do my best to get as close as possible.

What's more important: Money or the Job?
I would have to say the job because although money makes you financially happy and secure you still want to have a job in which you find some kind of enjoyment and fun. So definitely the job.

Dear ______,

I graduated from Central high School of Philadelphia in the 25% of my class, that's pretty amazing given the fact that I graduated with 500+ other students. I know it's not perfect but hey I'm average. I'm motivated, hard working, dedicated and ambitious to reach my goals. No matter what anyone tells me I will succeed, overcoming and defeating any and every obstacle in my way. People tell me all the time that because of who I am or where I'm from I wont achieve my goals. I respond "where I'm from is who I was and who I was is who I am, I change for no one and all of my success and failure is a product of my own creation. So take as I am or watch me as I go." I do not let things like that get to me, I'm honest and I cannot help it. I refuse to lie in order to spare another person's feelings because sometimes all people want is the truth. I am an excellent people person and I'm very understanding, in other words, I can see from both sides of the fence.

I am:
  • Well-rounded
  • Hardworking
  • Trustworthy
  • Punctual
  • Motivated
  • Efficient
  • Optimistic
  • Outgoing
  • Dedicated
Along side that I would further like to discuss my application with you in person and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Karon Davis-Coleman

My group, GREENWORKS, is a group whose main concern is protecting and helping the environment and economy. We are broken up into small teams amongst our group. My team's objective is to research and record where neighborhood get their food from, I mean where it actually comes from. We trace some of the produce all the way back to production. By the time we have finished I could tell you where the wheat that was used to make your burger bun came from. Now tell me that doesn't sound interesting. Check it out

Letter for Letter Of Recommendation

Dear Hazreena,

I am writing this to ask for a letter of recommendation for a job. I don't exactly know which job yet but that would be helpful and greatly appreciated. My basic info is:
  • Karon Davis-Coleman
  • karondc28@gmail.com
  • As you know I'm hardworking, punctual, dedicated, and an all around good person
  • I'm a freshman at CCP
  • I graduated from Central High School of Philadelphia
I chose you because I feel as though you know me better than Zak and you can be more personal and detailed when typing the recommendation letter, if you decide to, which I hope you do. I would like to thank you because I know you have a lot on your plate already with the extra year of school, switching of your majors and all. I hope you find the time to write it but if you can't I would not be upset. There is no deadline since there's n job currently, however, I would like the letter before the program is over. Most likely the job will probably be at a retail store because you know I love to shop. So if you could just try to relate it to some type of retail. I really would appreciate if you did this for me.

P.S. Please &Thank you
Sincerely,
Karon Davis-Coleman

Ever heard the saying don't judge a book by it's cover? Well when people ask me what I want to be when I grow up they think I'll say something like basketball or football player but they're wrong. I mean all that's fine but my dream job is a little more realistic and important than that. When I grow up I want to be a Psychologist, not an athlete or a hip-hop/r&b artist. Don't get me wrong I love sports and music just as much as the next teen but to me they're just hobbies not a long-term goal.

I graduated from Central high School of Philadelphia in the 25% of my class, that's pretty amazing given the fact that I graduated with 500+ other students. I want to be a psychologist because I feel like every now and again someone somewhere needs a shoulder to lean on or someone to come to for advice and I feel as though I am that person for whoever needs me. so if I could help them with their problems why shouldn't I help others. the type of psychology that I favor most in Forensic Psychology, which is the study of criminology or the study of criminal behavior that's associated with serial killers, psychopaths, etc. However, I am most likely to be an average Psychologist like the ones who study psychological illnesses and promote it's improvement.

Colleges

Let's talk about colleges. Here are a few questions I was asked to answer about where I wanted to go for school and in what Major. Of course I already know my major I just needed to find out where I would study it at. My major is Psychology because my goal is to become a Psychiatrist like I stated in a previous post. Well here we go...

I. 1.What search engines did you use? 2.What Institution do you match up with? 3What are your options?

A few search engines that I used were...

II. College board, which can be found at http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/index.jsp The institution that I "stacked up" with best and found favorable was Kutztown U. of Pa.(http://www.kutztown.edu/) This is actually one of my top choice schools after I finish my two-year courses at CCP.

III. College net which can be found at http://cnsearch.collegenet.com/cgi-bin/CN/index the top institution I found was Cheyney University(http://www.cheyney.edu/), even though it's not my top choice it's not a college I would mind attending.

IV. College Search Portal which can be found at http://www.anycollege.com/feature.cfm My number one institution was West Chester university(http://www.wcupa.edu/). This was actually one of the school I applied and got accepted to, this is a great school and would be a good choice for my major.

V. My plan for college is to attend Two-Year courses at Community College of Philadelphia then transfer to a better institution for my major, given that my financial status is in order. I will start applying for financial aid, Scholarships, etc. sometime before or during my second year at CCP. The reason I want to do this is so that I have the chance to bring up my GPA so that I have a better chance of getting a scholarship or grant.

Thank You

Dear ______,

I would like to express my appreciation for giving me the opportunity to prove to you guys that I am the right person for the job. I promise that if I am giving the chance I will not let you down. Even if I do not receive the job I would still say I am greatly appreciative of the opportunity of meeting you and getting to know a little more about your business. I would also like to thank you for giving me a fair chance even though there were tons of others waiting in line. I feel as though the interview was fun and informational for the both of us.

I trust and know that you are highly qualified to make these types of decisions, so I know that if I don't get the job it's because there was someone more qualified. So just in case I do not have the chance to get to tell you in person I hope you have a wonderful and successful career and life. You are a great person and I enjoyed having the pleasure of meeting you, hopefully that was not our only encounter. So once again thank you for my interview and I hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,
Karon Davis-Coleman
